SHORT TERM /TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY/

An upper ridge will build over the area sunday and monday for dry and sunny weather with increasing low level offshore flow. Highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s sunday will warm into the 60s on monday. The upper ridge will shift slightly inland on tuesday but low level offshore flow will continue. Tuesday looks like the warmest day of the week with highs in the 60s to lower 70s.

LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/

A weakening front will reach the areas on wednesday and fall apart as it moves onshore wednesday night. There will be chance of rain, mostly near the coast. Offshore flow will turn onshore on wednesday. This combined with some clouds should cool highs a few degrees but temperatures will remain several degrees above normal.

A few showers will linger into thursday but mostly it will be a dry day with some clouds and highs cooling a few more degrees. another weakening front will move into the area on friday. This front looks a little wetter that the wednesday one but still rather nondescript. The best chance for rain will probably be around friday night. Wa...none. Pz...small craft advisory for hazardous seas from 11 pm this evening to 11 am pdt sunday for coastal waters from cape flattery to james island 10 to 60 nm-coastal waters from james island to point grenville 10 to 60 nm-coastal waters from point grenville to cape shoalwater 10 to 60 nm.

MARINE

Surface high pressure building over southern british columbia tonight will expand east to the cascades later sunday through mid week. Northeasterly flow. A weak front will dissipate before reaching the coast thursday. Westerly swell over the outer coastal waters are expected to build to 10 feet at 15 seconds late tonight through midday sunday. A small craft for hazardous seas is in effect for the outer portion of the waters.

AVIATION

High clouds will start to thin out tonight and skies will become mostly clear sunday. There might be a little patchy fog for a few hours at daybreak in the normal spots like olympia.
